The first character means “eternal” or “forever”,
and the second means “not” (together they mean “never”).
The last two characters mean “give up” or “abandon”.
The whole can be translated “Never Give Up” .
The version on the right is written
in the “Xing-Caoshu” or “Running Grass/Cursive Script”.
